In 1968, Chuck Bustard got his first car, a 1955 Chevy. Even though it was only 13 years old, he had difficulties finding parts for it. He acquired another 55 and then a third 55 to salvage for parts. Soon other 55 Chevy owners started coming to him for parts. Working out of a barn on his family’s farm, he also began buying 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet’s.
In the early 70’s, Chuck was traveling the East Coast to buy obsolete inventory from Chevrolet dealerships. In 1973, he learned of the National Nomad Club. He joined and started advertising his parts for sale.
In 1976, he and his soon-to-be-wife, Patty, launched C & P Chevy Parts, selling at car shows and flea markets. When the New Old Stock parts from dealerships dried up, they began reproducing parts in 1978.

In 1984, the business was incorporated as C & P Automotive Distributing, reproducing hundreds of parts, all made in the USA.
Today, after closing our retail operations in 2025, C & P focuses on manufacturing and distributing quality Tri-5 parts to all major resellers around the world.
